Ruan van der linde
Co-Founder / professional hunter
Ruan’s roots in the Limpopo bushveld run deep. Growing up on a local farm, his passion for the pursuit ignited at just four years old and has never slowed down. While he personally loves the grit of a warthog hunt, his true expertise and adrenaline lie in guiding clients through high-stakes dangerous game encounters. Ruan is driven by the raw thrill of the stalk, the unpredictability of the bush, and the rush of securing a hard-earned trophy.
More than just an elite tracker, Ruan is fueled by the camaraderie of the hunting camp. He thrives on the challenge of the harsh environment and the immense satisfaction of seeing a client's victory at the end of a grueling day. Deeply passionate about the outdoors and the people who share that same fire, Ruan ensures every hunter who joins African Hunter Safaris leaves with an unforgettable story and a lifelong connection to the land.
Charles van der walt
Co-Founder / professional hunter
Born and raised in Limpopo, South Africa, Charles spent eight years working the land as a farmer, forging a profound, hands-on connection to the harsh and beautiful African bushveld. Cutting his teeth hunting across his own land and neighboring territories, he developed an expansive, practical mastery of the field. Charles doesn't limit his expertise to a single species; he thrives on the unpredictable variety and unique tactical challenges that tracking different African game demands.
For Charles, a safari is about more than just the final shot—it's about the entire untamed lifestyle. When he isn't guiding a hunt, he is pushing the limits of the bushveld through tactical shooting, heavy 4x4 overlanding, and exploring remote, off-the-grid terrain. Through African Hunter Safaris, Charles brings that same adventurous drive to his clients, sharing his deep knowledge of the land and delivering a fiercely authentic African experience.
